10 Monthiversary

We celebrated my 10 Monthiversary a day early with a trip to the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. This was a special trip for all of us as we've never been before. As hopeful parents with a desire that I grow up to explore the arts and science while simply have fun with all of the arts and crafts available, Mummy and Daddy decided to become members so that they can take me back often.

I had a ball just being there! They just started showcasing the Curious George exhibition and Mummy couldn't resist taking a picture with the two little monkeys -- Curious George and I! :)

Happy Feet!

I was inspired to take this picture after coming across a similar picture some time ago. Even without the assistance of a photographer on hand, I think Ed did a perfect job of capturing our "Happy Feet!" Someday, I'd like to add a fourth pair of feet to this family portrait! :)

My First Mother's Day!

Each year as we celebrate Mother's day, it has always been an occassion for mine or Ed's Mum, but this year, I now qualify as a member to this exclusive club and can join in on the celebration. Being a Mum to 9 1/2 month old Adrian has been a surreal experience. I can't recount the number of times that I stare down at the precious little human being that I cradle in my arms and think to myself, how blessed I am to have Adrian in my life! Sure, there have been those long and exhaustive days where we could all use a few more hours of sleep, but that's triumphed by all of the joy and happiness that he has brought into our lives.

I couldn't wish for a better Mother's day. Spending quality time with my two favorite guys is plenty satisfying for me, but being the awesome hubby that Ed is, he had a few tricks up his sleeves. Not only did he have a dozen pink roses delivered from FTD the day before, but I was also presented with two Mother's day cards - one from baby Adrian and the other from the hubby. I was quite content with the flowers, cards and the awesome company, so I was surprised by the sudden appearance of a beautifully wrapped box. As I carefully unwrapped the wrapping paper and opened the box, I find a personalized FLIP CAMCORDER emblazoned with a picture of our beautiful son! My heart just melted while simultaneously engulfed by all of the emotions building up inside of me. I am truly a lucky Mother and wife!!!

To top off this amazing day, we also saw the musical, "Wicked" in San Francisco, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sitting in row G where the view was awesome didn't hurt either! That night our family finished the day off with dinner for my Mum (and I).

Adrian's 9 Month Vital Signs

Height: 29.75in (.756m)
Weight: 21lb 6.3oz (9.704kg)
Head Circumference: 18.5in (47cm)

At Adrian's 9 month check-up -- the only wellness check-up thus far that he didn't require shots, we were told that our son was growing at a healthy pace. We always felt that little Adrian was tall for his age and the measurements certainly proved it.

Adrian's length and head circumference is in the 89% percentile for his age group, while his weight checks in at a healthy 62.48%. Our little boy isn''t so little anymore! :(

While I rushed back into the courtroom in downtown San Jose to resume the glory of jury selection process, Daddy took Adrian out to the park for a little afternoon fun!

Chompers!

I've been wanting to capture Adrian's first tooth when we caught a glimpse of a sudden rise or lump in the gum, but with the passing of each and every day, that lump has risen until the teeth are clearly visible.

Two teeth have now emerged along Adrian's lower gum line. Apart from the occassional ferocious attack on the pacifier, he hasn't really shown any of the typical symptoms that accompany teething! No incessant drooling, irritability or fever! (Thank God!)

I have to admit that it was incredibly difficult to capture this picture. After many many attempts, we nailed it on the last attempt! Check out that expression on Adrian's face -- that look is simply priceless!
