Our little fish!

As fans of snorkeling and vacationing in tropical hot spots, we've always known that we wanted to teach our kids to swim at an early age. Ed found a great public swimming pool that's perfect for infants and toddlers! With the depth being no higher than 2 ft, we knew that little Adrian could sit and splash in the water as he normally would in our bath tub. This past weekend was an unusually hot day peaking in the 100 degree range and what perfect way to cool off than chill in some water! Little Adrian was timid at first, but it wasn't long before he felt comfortable splishing and splashing in the water!

Happy 11-Monthiversary to Me!

And just like that, I turned 11-months old! Some of the milestones that I can now check off the list include:

  • Creeping (super fast) with the occasional crawl (creeping tends to get me to my destination faster)
  • Walking while holding onto something
  • Climbing up the stairs
  • Clapping my hands
  • Throwing small objects (sorry Mummy and Daddy!)
  • Eating with my fingers
  • Saying "Dada", "Papa" and FINALLY, "Mama"!!!

To encourage me to take my very first step, Mummy and Daddy got me this cool V-Tech Alphabet Train. As much as I'd love to please 'em, this train has way too many buttons to press and things to play with, I'd much rather sit and play with the Train than push it along!

(I'm just posing for the camera!)

Doggy on wheels from Hamleys

Hamleys toy shop is a very famous children's toy shop in London. Uncle Vince, who just got back from visiting our relatives in the UK, carted back a gift from auntie Hoang Van and family. Thank you so much for the woof woof!!! It's lightweight and very chewable! :)

Where's the TV Remote?

"Mummy -- is this what you're looking for?" "Oh, and by the way, I also have your cellphone!"

First B-B-Q Spare Rib!

Mummy had a craving for ribs from Armadillo Willys and naturally, I become the benefactor. You've all heard of the saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words" -- can't you just tell whether or not I'm a fan? :)

Daddy Day!

This daddy got to spend a wonderful day at the park with his family to celebrate his first Father's Day. We drove to Vasona Lake in Los Gatos where a local non-profit organization held the second annual Silicon Valley Duck Race. Steve Wozniak (of Apple and recent Dancing with the Stars fame) led the countdown for the race, where 15,000 ducks were released into the stream. Sadly the six ducks we sponsored didn't end up winning the race, but we still enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day out with lots of other families.

Clap Clap!

If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands
If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands
If you're happy and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it,
Clap your hands.

Judging by the look on Adrian's face, I think he's happy -- don't you agree?

We've been trying to teach Adrian to clap for some time now, but to no avail. Last night -- out of the blue, he just started clapping for us! We were fortunate that he repeated it often enough for us to capture it on camera.

Splish Splash!

Splish Splash! Baby taking a Bath!

Can you tell just by watching the clip how much I love my bath time? :) My big splashes usually gets Mummy and occassionally the floor wet each and every time it's bath time! Thankfully, Mummy is quite content seeing me have so much fun that she doesn't mind her clothes getting wet at all!

"Where's Adrian?"

Taken from the concept of a very popular series of children's book, "Where's Wally?" as its known in the UK, but adapted to "Where's Waldo?" in the US and Canada. Can you spot me?
