My GQ Baby
Doesn't Adrian look dashing enough for the cover of GQ Baby magazine (if it existed)? :) This is the outfit that he'll be wearing for a wedding that we'll be attending in Vancouver in September. It was a challenge for me to locate a nice outfit for Adrian despite going to a number of different stores all over the bay area. Both Ed and I are delighted with end result! Let's hope he doesn't steal the spotlight at the wedding! :)

Posing for Mama
After I (we) bathe Adrian, he has a habit of crawling up -- while naked, from the end of the bed (where we dress him) to the pillows and the headboard. This time, he crawled to the head of the bed and positioned himself between the pillows and gave me this ridiculously cute look. I knew right there and then that I had to scoop up the little naked munchkin and run downstairs to locate my camera. Thankfully, when I returned Adrian to our bed, he went back to the exact same spot and posed for me. Lucky me! :)

A Boy's Best Friend
Adrian is FEARLESS! Well, so far, he doesn't seem to be afraid of dogs, cats or insects! We attended a potluck BBQ hosted by the Franciscos and caught up with some old Cal Poly friends. Adrian got to meet and play with Uncle Vincent and Auntie Joscelyn's 1/2 member of their family, Tahoe. They both genuinely enjoyed each other's company and connected instantly! :)

Shopping @ Pottery Barn For Kids
We found the perfect sized shopping cart for Adrian at Pottery Barn Kids. Here he is having a ball pushing his shopping cart around with his little sheep friend as his passenger.
Lately, Adrian has grown more comfortable walking when supported by a stable object -- whether it's a walker, the sofa or our hands. He also isn't afraid to walk towards us, but usually falls on his butt after 5-6 steps. Occassionally, he can reach 10-11 steps before his bottom drops to the ground. We try to encourage him to be on his feet when he's in the mood to be "adventurous", hoping that he'll soon be walking and not so dependent on us carrying him around -- we're also mindful of the "fun" challenges that lies ahead with a toddler in the house!

12 Month Wellness Check-Up!
At my 12-month wellness check-up, I was administered FOUR instead of the usual THREE shots! Instead of the usual suspects -- the legs, my arms were the new target! Mummy inquired and found out that they switch from the legs to the arms in case it causes soreness to the legs which can exasperate my attempt to walk.
The following are my vital signs at 12 months:
Height: 31.5in (.768m) (64.15% percentile)
Weight: 22lb 5.5oz (10.135kg) (47.76% percentile)
Head Circumference: 18.78in (47.7cm) (84.96% percentile)
Apparently, the growth of my head is outpacing that of my height and weight! :)

Future American Idol's Contestant
I'm amazed at how capable kids are and how quickly they're able to figure out their surroundings. One night Adrian discovered a microphone on one of his new toys (from his recent 1st Birthday) and starting singing, talking or blabbling to it! We don't know where he picked up this new skill, but we thoroughly enjoyed the free performance! :)

Slurping Yummy Noodles
You may recall from an earlier blog entry how much Adrian was fond of noodles when milk was his only staple! Now that Adrian is at the "ripe old age" to eat, he eats practically everything that he sees us (and others) eat. Note - We avoid eating chocolate, sweets and other bad stuff in front of him! When Adrian saw us eat our usual 5-star worthy gourmet dinner of noodles (Yum!), he had to have some. To be fair, I had some thick udon like noodles while Daddy had ramen (the instant noodle type that you buy in bulk from Costco)! We, of course fed Adrian the better of the two, the former...
Here he is slurping away at the yummy noodles...
